The Wabanaki Climate & Agriculture Network is open to all Wabanaki farmers, foragers, land stewards, and folks looking to support Wabanaki people’s inherent right to steward our homelands.
GOALS
- Adopt proactive stewardship.
- Recognize and respect traditional ecological knowledge (TEK) aka Indigenous knowledge or Native Science.
- Provide the flexibility to steward dynamic landscapes and navigate uncertainties under rapidly changing conditions.
- Ground agency planning, and land and resource stewardship policies in ethics of reciprocity and responsibility to seven past and future generations.
- Catalyze innovative approaches to land-based stewardship and wellness.
