The Wabanaki Climate & Agriculture Network is open to all Wabanaki farmers, foragers, land stewards, and folks looking to support Wabanaki people’s inherent right to steward our homelands.

GOALS

  1. Adopt proactive stewardship.
  2. Recognize and respect traditional ecological knowledge (TEK) aka Indigenous knowledge or Native Science.
  3. Provide the flexibility to steward dynamic landscapes and navigate uncertainties under rapidly changing conditions.
  4. Ground agency planning, and land and resource stewardship policies in ethics of reciprocity and responsibility to seven past and future generations.
  5. Catalyze innovative approaches to land-based stewardship and wellness.
